Marketing & Communications Manager: Manage marketing, communications and related activities for non-profit organization promoting diversity and inclusion practices in the foodservice and hospitality industry: develop business plan and strategic plan with President; manage external agencies/vendors as it relates to the overall communications and marketing efforts (web design, advertising, public relations, printing, production, photo- and videographers); coordinate and oversee research efforts; work with President to provide multicultural marketing insights and research; manage all public relations, advertising and event communications effort; review, revise and approve all public statements and speeches, media scripts and articles prepared by the President and Board members; oversee and direct brand positioning; develop and manage marketing calendar and marketing budget; direct execution of domestic and international marketing projects; manage annual product and publication development; direct web-based communications: MFHA website content, MFHA Newsletters, E-blasts, and News Clips, and Social Media; coordinate strategic partner relationships for MFHA and its products, programs and services; develop, manage, and track budget for marketing and communications department; direct, evaluate, and initiate multicultural research projects in partnership with MFHA members, sponsors, and allies; provide cultural insights and perspectives on organizational strategy; manage marketing team including the Communications Coordinator, Webmaster/Print Designer, Research Assistant and communication interns.
Requirements: Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications or related. Two years experience in position offered or Marketing/Communications or related. Skill set must include technical marketing and communications skills; product knowledge of Diversity and Inclusion management concepts, tools and resources within foodservice and hospitality industry; experience in sourcing multicultural vendors, suppliers and consultants; marketing of cultural intelligence workshops and seminars within foodservice and hospitality industry; speech and script writing experience to multicultural audiences; web-based communications; website evaluation from multicultural perspective; creating and developing newsletters to multicultural audiences; multicultural research projects and resources; multicultural product development and launch; relation building and networking with ethnic media; Microsoft Office 2010; list and database management; and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
